The Urban Development Institute of Australia’s National Congress brings global thinkers and national industry leaders together to identify future trends and discuss the next opportunities for our industry. Held over three days, attendees have the opportunity to hear from a stellar speaker line-up, go on-site at the latest projects in the host city, attend a range of networking functions including the National Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner and build new business networks.
The UDIA’s 25th National Congress will be hosted in Perth during the week beginning 4 April 2017. Having transformed significantly since the last Congress in 2012, Perth is set to showcase the significant redevelopment of the City. The Swan River is now linked to the City through the development of Elizabeth Quay, the sinking of the railway line has created an urban heart that links the retail/office area with the entertainment district. The biggest transit orientated development in the country, Perth City Link is due for completion during Congress, giving you one of the first opportunities to enjoy this vibrant precinct where residential, mixed use and entertainment outlets will thrive. The silhouette of the new Perth Stadium will also be rising out of the ground on the Burswood Peninsula when you arrive, with construction of the footbridge that will provide a vital link to Perth scheduled for completion early in 2017.
Congress will be a cutting edge look at development trends and innovations, with the introduction of a new structure for congress you will have unprecedented access to discussion that explores the best ideas both in Australia and internationally with a diversity of scope that will deliver something for everybody regardless of their role in this dynamic sector.
The renewed energy of this great city will give you significant insight into what can be achieved by creating a vision today which will become tomorrow’s reality.
