It was a pleasure to host guests at our Industry Lunch event last Friday where the draft National Urban Policy was unpacked for us. Our speakers, David Mackay (Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts), Dr Michael Fotheringham (Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute), Bronwen Clark (National Growth Areas Alliance) and Mike Day (Hatch Urban Solutions), each provided some fantastic insights into the different facets of the policy, outlining the drivers behind the formation of the policy and how it could be implemented by each level of Government in partnership with local developers.
