Building mogul Dale Alcock says the industry needs a freeze on red tape and a big inflow of workers to fight the housing crisis.

The Federal Government wants 1.2 million properties finished within five years but the boss of Australia’s second biggest home builder has warned growing regulation is adding to construction costs.

Mr Alcock spoke as his ABN Group posted record revenue of $1.7 billion in the year to June amid a strong post-pandemic recovery.
